Trending Resignation Letter of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa FAKE!

A resignation letter dated 25th May 2025 and attributed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is trending on social media. The letter, among other things, discusses the minister’s position on the use of private Jets by government officials, and then proceeds to inform the president of his resignation. Explanation
An analyst from Fakenews Ghana contacted sources close to Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to determine whether the letter was from him. Our sources confirmed that the letter was fake, and the minister had not authored, submitted or shared any letter. We also visited the official social media pages of Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and confirmed that he had not shared any letter.
It would be recalled that Fakenews Ghana debunked a viral flyer attributed to the Hon. Minister on 24th May 25, 2025. The image had the inscription “if I resign, the government will lose”. To provide some context, it would also be recalled that Hon. Samuel Okudzeto has become the target of fake news because of his previous comments on the use of private planes by government officials and the recent medical visit of the vice president from the United Kingdom [Story Here].
